Aerospace MBA PT12 Delegates in Montreal (Qc, Canada) – April 2018

In the frame of the Aerospace MBA program, participants of the part-time track (soon to be renamed ‘Hub’) did follow a seminar in Montréal (Quebec, Canada) from April 16 to April 20, 2018. This year again the lectures and conferences took place at Ecole Supérieure de Gestion (UQAM).

 

 

 

 

 

 

The first two (freezing) days were dedicated to Airport Management with the lectures of Pierre Coutu, President  at Aviation Strategies International.

In addition, Pierre invited Sami Abou-Farhat, International Coordination at NavCanada to share his expertise.

A conference about”How entrepreneurship is revolutionizing the world and why it matters?” has been delivered in a very dynamic manner by Benoît Chalifoux, Deputy Director International Affairs at ESG-UQAM.

On Tuesday 17th of April evening, Pierre Coutu kindly invited the cohort fo an afterwork & networking session downtown (Bevo Restaurant).

On Wednesday 18th of April, David Wilkinson, Analysis & Quality Assurance Coordinator at ICAO (The International Civil Aviation Organization) did lecture on Aviation Security.

On Thursday 19th of April, Armando Quiroz and Georges Gelso have extensively shared their knowledge and great expertise in the aviation field and more especially on Aviation Safety. The course comprised 3 modules: Introduction to ICAO’s Strategic Objectives and Associated Programmes; Introduction to the State Safety Oversight System and the 8 Critical Elements; and Introduction to the Safety Management System (SMS). An evaluation instrument was administred to the participants at the end of the presentation of the three modules.

In the evening a TBS Alumni MeetUp took place in BierMarkt, Montréal. A great opportunity to meet Alumni from diverse TBS training programs while sharing a beer with the Aerospace MBA cohort!

On Friday 20th of April, the cohort attended a conference about “Doing business in Quebec and Canada” providing rich insights about the Canadian domestic market and best practices. Mr. Ali Elawad, Chief Product Officer, at Dataperformers explain what Artificial Intelligence can do in the frame of Aerospace.

Right after the presentation the Aerospace MBA PT12 delegation benefitted from a guided tour at International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Mr. Englebert Zoa ETUNDI, Permanent Representative of Cameroon to ICAO took some time to provide valuable information on the organization and its strategy. Mr. David Wilkinson kindly came over as well as Mr. Jean-Sébastien Brun, Aviation Consultant.
