Student Forum – Reinvent the air transport – 1st & 2nd of Dec. 2016 – 3AF – ENAC – TBS

img_4340Organized by the technical commission of civil aviation of 3AF, “Association Aéronautique et Astronautique de France” a 2 day forum took place in early December in Toulouse. The main topic was “let’s reinvent air transportation”.

On Thursday 1st of Dec., 2016 (in parallel of Aeromart where TBS Aerospace MBA did exhibit, and of the 2nd French-Russian Forum held in Enac and notably sponsored by TBS Aerospace MBA program), several presentations by Mathy Gonon, Philippe Jarry and Francis Guimera enabled the participants to highlight the objectives of the forum. A session with a representative of student teams involved in this research topic made it possible to share diverse contributions carried out by the students from different training programs.  In the afternoon, presentations from ENAC students and ISAE-Supaero students on airports led to fruitful discussions.

After a welcome speech by Olivier Blanchard, a TBS team presented their report, followed by another team from ISAE-Supaero. After lunch, a round table animated by Dr. Cordula Barzantny focused on the main issues discussed over the two days. This TBS session has been managed by Dr. Sophie d’Armagnac in the frame of the MAster 2 Aerospace Management.

Last, a “great witnesses” session animated by Mr. Jacques Gatard (Aerospace MBA Alumni) as facilitator enabled to discuss about:

  • the future of Toulouse-Blagnac Airport with Mr. Jean-Michel Vernhes, Chairman of the Executive Board,
  • the technical evolutions of air transport with Mr. Bruno Lamiscarre, Director of Systems Control and Flight Dynamics Dept at ONERA-The French Aerospace Lab
  • and the trends on the market and the impact on top-level management training programs with Dr. Christophe Bénaroya, Director of Aerospace MBAs, Toulouse Business School.
