Webinar TBS & EACC: Aerospace’s recovery – A discussion on strategic value chains and the path forward – March 3, 2021

A team of students from TBS took a great initiative in organizing with EACC a conference about “Strategic Value Chains and The Path Forward in the Aerospace Sector to Re-emerge Post COVID-19″✈️

On behalf of TBS, involved more than ever in aerospace in these turning times, we were thrilled to take part to this event along with the TBS Aerospace community on Wednesday 3rd March, 2021 from 6 to 7.30 pm – (CET – Paris time).

After the insightful and encouraging presentation delivered by Xavier Tytelman, the panel discussion enabled to address diverse questions towards 55+ participants:

  • How is the French government helping the aerospace industry?
  • What measures are the governments in France, Europe and abroad taking?
  • Regarding the aerospace sector, many initiatives are paving the way for more than just a rebound, but for a solid and steady new development in the near future. Can you tell us which are the most significant ones? (CORAC, hydrogen, electric, biofuel, defense, light aircraft, UAM, airship…)
  • In which particular projects are you involved in and/or you’re watching carefully? We’ve seen an utmost and growing importance of cargo activities (ecommerce, vaccines…) and aircraft conversion for instance…
  • If aviation traffic is expected to get back to pre-COVID levels only by 2024 and order bookings have slowed down, what are the recovery plans / Aviation / Aeronautics / Airports ?
  • To what extent the sector is going beyond the hype of green aviation & environmental concern?
  • How can airlines, airports, and other agencies work together to remove pain points and enhance passenger experience from an operational standpoint? How can the stakeholders address the ambiguities and variations in the interpretation of passenger travel guidelines in domestic as well as international travel with respect to health and safety measures like quarantine and covid test certificates… which in turn will improve passenger confidence?
  • There is another way to look at the environmental issue: the circular economy in aviation. Would you please share your views as it covers the question of the transportation system complexity and the various involvement of the stakeholders (MRO, spare parts, infrastructures, new energy, UAM)?
  • Expected trends & impacts on airlines depending on the type of passengers: family/relatives, tourists, business / low cost versus legacy programs
